The story

A small park that punches far above its size.

Hollywood Studios is the smallest of the four parks by land and the loudest by ambition. Nearly every attraction here is a headliner, which is exactly why it rewards a plan more than any other day of your trip. Arrive without one and two queues can eat the morning. Arrive with a strategy and it is the most thrilling day on property.

Sights

Everything worth a photo.

From the streets of Batuu to a Hollywood that never quite existed, this is the park built to look like the movies. Swipe through the sights, then take the Skyliner home.

Rides

Worth an early alarm.

The headliners that shape a park day. Save the ones your crew cannot miss and we will slot them into the plan.

Galaxy's Edge

Rise of the Resistance

Typical wait 65 min

A trackless, multi-part epic that puts you inside a First Order Star Destroyer. The most ambitious ride Disney has built.

Galaxy's Edge

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

Typical wait 35 min

Pilot, gun, or engineer the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy. How well you fly decides the ending.

Sunset Blvd

Tower of Terror

Typical wait 40 min

A haunted elevator and a thirteen-story drop sequence you can never quite predict. The best-themed thrill on property.

More must-dos to save:

Dining

Where the theming follows you to the table.

At the Studios the restaurants are attractions in their own right: a 1950s living room, a drive-in under the stars, a smugglers' cantina. Book the big ones the day your window opens.

Order a drink at Oga's Cantina and the whole room leans cinematic, half alien bar, half theme park, entirely worth the reservation you booked weeks ago. Your Field Guide planner

Worth a reservation:

Where to stay

Sleep a Skyliner glide away.

The Studios sits at the far end of the Skyliner and the Epcot resort area, so the best-connected rooms drop you at the gate without ever touching a bus.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort

Value

Larger-than-life theming the kids will not stop talking about, roomy family suites, and a Skyliner straight to the park gate. The most fun per dollar near the Studios.

Insider tips

What the locals know.

01Rope drop Rise of the Resistance
Be at the tap-in before official open and head straight for Rise of the Resistance, or grab its Lightning Lane the second you can. It is the hardest ride to board all day, so make it your first move.
02Book Oga's Cantina ahead
Reserve Oga's Cantina in advance, it books up fast. Walk-up space is rare, and the themed drinks are half the reason to make the trip into Batuu.
03Prioritize Slinky Dog Dash
Slinky Dog Dash draws the longest standby lines in the park, so prioritize it. Ride it early or spend a Lightning Lane on it and skip a long afternoon wait.
04Plan around Fantasmic
Catch Fantasmic and arrive early for a seat. The amphitheater fills well before showtime, so stake out a spot and let the little ones rest their feet.
05Save Galaxy's Edge for dark
Galaxy's Edge is best after dark when the land lights up. The theming reads as another planet once the sky goes black, so loop back through Batuu in the evening.
