The story

The future, and the whole world, in a day.

EPCOT is really two parks sharing one gate. Up front sits a ring of rides and the great silver globe of Spaceship Earth. Out back, World Showcase wraps a lagoon with eleven country pavilions, each with its own food, shops, and film. Grown-ups tend to love it the most.

More must-dos to save:

Dining

The best eating at Walt Disney World.

World Showcase is a full loop of restaurants from eleven countries, arguably the best eating on the whole resort. Book the big tables up to sixty days ahead.

The festivals are the main event.

For much of the year, World Showcase fills with festival booths pouring small plates and drinks from around the world. It is the single best way to eat your way across the park in an afternoon.

The smartest way to eat here is to graze. Order a small plate in each country and share your way around the World Showcase loop. Your Field Guide planner

Tables worth planning around:

Where to stay

Sleep a Skyliner glide away.

The resorts closest to EPCOT skip the bus entirely. The Skyliner glides you straight to the International Gateway at the back of World Showcase.

Insider tips

What the locals know.

01Beat the line to the headliners
Rope drop Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind or Test Track, or grab a virtual queue or a Lightning Lane the moment booking opens. They are the two hardest rides to walk onto.
02Graze the World Showcase loop
Skip one big sit-down and order small plates instead. Share your way around the eleven countries and you will taste far more of the park for the same money.
03Time your trip to a festival
EPCOT runs a festival most of the year: Flower and Garden in spring, Food and Wine in fall, the Festival of the Arts in winter, and the holidays after that. Each one adds food booths and live music.
04Stake out a Luminous spot early
The best views of Luminous line the World Showcase Lagoon railing. Claim a spot along the water thirty minutes ahead, or watch from a lagoon-side dinner table.
05Treat it as a two-part day
Spend the morning on the rides up front while the lines are short, then save the afternoon and evening for eating and strolling World Showcase.
